Taylor Vinters. Tower 42. London.
Taylor Vinters commissioned me to make some work for their offices in London. I decided to create photographs onto perspex that are taken from the tower itself. I was allowed to take photographs in a empty office space in the tower just before the new tenants moved in. The floor before it was carpeted was a brushed aluminium finish and the reflections of buildings like the Gherkin into the floor were really beautiful. They have been printed onto perspex so that the high gloss finish reflects the architecture around the offices again, creating a reflection in a reflection.
The colourful pieces were developed from the pieces I made two years ago for Taylor Vinters in Cambridge. I shot new works using metal and my fluorescent lights to create images that fit with the new brand colours of Taylor Vinters. These images are printed onto brushed Aluminium, to give a robust, matt finish that is frameless. The matt finish really brings out the colour of them, without extra reflections getting in the way.
I hope Taylor Vinters are pleased and that these pieces brighten up the offices.
